letter of reference Qatar

ELS Language Centers

This letter is to document that Danya Gabruch worked for ELS Language Centers, Doha Qatar. Danya has proven in the short time that I have known her to be a quick study, hard worker and diligent in her efforts to teach the English language in a multi-cultural context.

Hired to teach primarily in the children’s program, she demonstrated that she was able to teach 6-11 year olds the basics of English. Working 6 hours a day, 5 days a week under split-shift conditions, is arduous at least. Never complaining and constantly putting forth efforts to keep the kids happy, I received numerous calls from parents delineating favourable responses to Danya and the progress of their children’s English language skills. Keeping in mind that Danya had never taught before, let alone an English class, says much about her ability to learn new skills under short-term training and make pragmatic those skills in a specific context.

As if this were not enough, due to our record enrollment, we were short of adult teachers and the Academic Director asked Danya would she be willing to once again – quick study – and teach adults. Ever one for growing and learning, she agreed and once again proved successful in teaching 3 intermediate level English classes – to include Communicative Grammar, Reading & Writing, Structured Speaking.

I am pleased that Danya was able to come here and work for us – and to do so successfully. Students are already asking me if they can have her next semester and my only regret is that I have to tell them she is going back to Canada. Danya will be missed.

In Peace.
